The Mind and its Laws
Brain is a matter, something you can see, feel and touch; mind is not. Brain is the processor; mind the storage place of information. Everyone has the brain, almost the same size and it performs the similar functions. Then the question is why some people are more intelligent than others are. When we want to praise someone for intellect, we do not say, he or she has a good brain, we say, he or she has a good mind. If someone is good at memorizing or remembering something, he/ or she is labeled as having a good mind. If someone does not something unexpected or does something bad or evil, he or she is said to be ''out of mind'' and not ''out of brain''. So, it is not brain but mind that makes the difference in people.
Mind is what one thinks, perceives and feels. It is the thinking and perceiving part of consciousness. It is also commonly known as intellect or intelligence. It gathers an individual's conscious and unconscious experiences. After the brain has processed the information, our mind gives meaning to it. If you see an image, hear a sound, feel, smell and taste, it means that brain is doing its job. It is mind's job to decide whether the image, sound, feeling, smell or taste is good or bad. We are different in thinking. Our memories are different and we have stored different files in our mind. Since our files are different, we perceive things differently and our likes and dislikes are different. Mind cannot make a thing good or bad by itself. Its job is to use the information stored in memory to perceive and to give meanings to things, people and events. Like brain, mind has two compartments, conscious and subconscious. As mind is responsible for human behavior, one needs to know the principles of mind that govern our behavior.
Law of cause and effect:
It is universal and suggest that nothing happens automatically. There is always a cause for whatever we do or happens to us.
Law of control:
If one decides to accept the responsibilities of anything in one's life, one can do it. If one wants so, one can control one's life.
Law of Focus:
You will ultimately land or get what you consciously or unconsciously have been focusing on.
Law of Belief:
All our beliefs are our choices, conscious or unconscious. Whatever we first accept or believe in as right or wrong, good or bad becomes a reality and stays with us unless we make a conscious effort to change it.
Law of Attraction:
Whatever you store in your mind's memory, consciously or unconsciously, you attract it and get attracted to it...
