Is This What You Call Commitment to Self - responsibility
Nothing great in this world can ever be achieved unless someone assumes responsibility of the task ahead and is fully committed to making it happen. Taking responsibility is not an act by itself, but a way of life.
One day one manager came to me after one of my seminars and said; I read your book and decided that one of my weakest point was not fully accepting the responsibility of my life and letting others choose it for me. Therefore, I decided to be in the driving seat of my life. In the past few weeks, I did not complain for anything. Whatever it was, I accepted the full responsibility for all of the activities carried out in my departments. At the end, I found out that I was doing extra work with no rewards. So I decided to quit and come back to my routine. What do you say about this type? Is assuming the responsibility a joke? Do people think that if they take the responsibility of their lives, they do a great favor to the world, and the world must recognize and reward it?
For the worst of beasts in the sight
of Allah are those who reject Him:
They will not believe.
Do you call it ''accepting responsibility'' at the first place. Well, a simple test is that if someone could make you do something, it means that you have lost control over your life. How could this be taking the responsibility if others made the manager go back to his old behavior.
