Never Let Your Dreams Go Away

About 19 years ago, a school teacher asked his students what would they choose as their career. All the children came out with their choices doctor, engineer, lawyer, businessman. There was a poor black boy in the class from a single parent family.

His mother had a small job and a big family to support. He thought he must say something big to avoid other children laughing at him. So he said, ''I Would like to become the president of the USA''. There was a big laughter in the class because everyone knew how poor he was. The poor child went home sobbing and narrated the story to his mother and asked her.

''Mother, Are we so poor that i cannot even dream of becoming the president?''.

Be sure We shall test you with

something of fear and hunger, some

loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of  your toil)

                      but give glad tidings to

              Those who patiently persevere.

The mother replied, ''My Son, it is up to you; either you own this dream and become committed to achieving it or be prepared for such an embarrassment over and over again in your life''. This changed the life of the poor boy. He committed himself to making his dream come true. He became the youngest (at the age of 28 years) congressman of the USA in 1996. In an interview with BBC, he said that it took him 15 years of hard work and unwavering commitment and struggle to reach this level but his life changed the day he accepted the ownership of his dream and committed to achieving it.

So lose not heart, nor fall into

despair. For ye must gain mastery. if

ye are in Faith.........
