Unless you Act, Nothing would change

Although thinking is very important, nothing will happen unless you acted on it. Take the example of the bank fraud. It started with a thought, however, nothing would have happened unless the man had acted on it.

We have been discussing a number of things that must have inspired you. Through my seminars, I come across several people who feel very motivated but their life never really changes. there are thousands others, whose life changed as a direct result of our seminars. If  you ask me what is difference between them; it is no more than ACTION. No matter how hard or positively you think about a situation or people, nothing will change your life if you do not act.

You have been thinking about your spouse and how you will greet him/her when he/she returns home. However when he/she enters home, instead of acting upon you have been thinking about, you act differently. Yes, I understand that something will happen, but not necessarily what you want it to. Make sure that you act only on those things that you like to achieve. No matter what you do,  if you are not actively involved in getting what you want, you don't really want it. If you want to fix your relationship or your health, or try to recover from some emotional trauma in your life, or try to prepare yourself for peak performance, at the end, it is all about action. Not once. It is a continuous process. As long as you do something daily to create a NEW life, you will make it a reality. You remember the childhood story of rabbit and turtle. What do you think was the difference?  So , remember the following steps to create ''NEW'' life that you have already dreamt of:

Therefore when thou art free (from thine immediate task)

Still  labour  hard. And to thy

                      Lord turn (all) thy attention.

1. Decide what you really want in any  sphere of your life. Develop specific goal. Use the SMART  way of making goals:

S Goal must be specific, not general. ''I will loose twenty pounds weight''

M Goal must be Measurable as the above example and not like ''I will increase my income''

A Goal must be Action -oriented, which will include plan of action and ways and means of addressing         hurdles What will I do to make my dream come true.

Goal must be Realistic. Not too small that provides no motivations and also not too ''big'' that is               impossible to achieve in the given timeframe.

T  Goal must be Time Bound. ''By March 20,2002, I will loose twenty pounds weight''

Determine what is in your way of getting what you want, or achieving your life passion.

3 Write down, what this undesirable habit or behavior is costing you in term of relationships, self- image, quality of life, financially, spiritually, etc.

Dream about how the life would change, if you did change.

5 Ask yourself; how would you feel, If you changed?

6 Ask yourself; how would your beloved feel about you if you changed?

7 Using the ''Pain- Pleasure-Principle'' (PPP) associate great pain if you don't change (if this behavior       and habit of your does not change)

8 Associate great pleasure and rewards if you did change(what will you get as rewards; how your life       will pleasantly change , etc.)

9 Write down all the actions, that you are taking right now, to make this change happen.

10 Write down what you will continue doing ,from today onwards.

11 Replace the undesirable behavior/pattern with a desirable pattern. For example, if you want to quit drinking, replace this habit with walk or any sport, or anything else that you have been postponing for years.

12 Make it Happen- Do it.

13 Never loose the site of this action plan

................Then when thou hast taken a

decision put thy trust in Allah. For

Allah loves those who put their trust

                                                 (in Him)
